CID issued notice against Halappa
Bangalore, May 6: CID, probing the sexual assualt case against former Food and Civil Supplies Minister Hartal Halappa, has issued a notice to the minister to appear within May 10.
The notice has been left on his residence at Shimoga and similar notice has been left in his Bangalore residence as the Minister has reportedly gone missing since Tuesday, May 5, CID sources said.
It has been said that CID, after interrogating the complainants, Venkatesh Murthy and his wife, Chandravathi, had tried to trace Halappa but fail to do so. Following which they pasted the notices on the doors of his houses.
Halappa, who had resigned following the allegation, had filed an anticipatory bail application in the Principal District and Sessions Court, Shimoga.
The hearing of the bail plea is scheduled on May 11.
