2 Russians held for eating girl

St Petersburg, May 6: In a heinious act of cannibalism, two Russian men were imprisoned for killing a female friend and eating up her body during a drunken bout, investigators said.

According to a statement released by the investigative unit of the Prosecutor General's office, the men, both 20 years of age, drowned the 16-year-old girl and then cut her body into pieces and cooked it.

The duo, both residents of northern Russian city of Saint Petersburg, also stole her phone, mp3 player and clothes.

While Maxim Glavatsky, a florist, has been sentenced to 19 years imprisonment, his friend Yury Mozhnov will have to serve 18 years in prison.
