One more CD to prove 'rape' case against Halappa?

Shimoga, May 4: After filing a sexual assault case against former minister Haratal Halappa, the victim's husband Venkatesh Murthy claimed that he has another video of the incident.

“I have one more Compact Disk (CD) with regard to former minister Halappa"s sex scandal and it will be released in the district within 15 days," he is quoted as saying in Express Buzz.

Besides this, he has alleged that his ex-wife Sumitra, who he divorced ten years ago, was being used against him.

“I divorced my first wife Sumitra 10 years ago because of a misunderstanding between us. She is being used as a weapon in this case," he told the media.

Venkatesh Murthy has already released a video as evidence to substantiate his case against the BJP leader.

Halappa allegedly sexually assaulted Murthy's wife Chandravati in Nov 2009.

However, Murthy's capability to produce videographic evidence may work against him and his case as the Karnataka Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president, KS Eshwarappa has questioned how the husband to record the incident instead of stopping.

“No husband will videograph his wife being raped. In fact, a true and a faithful husband will kill the rapist. It is a conspiracy and prima facie, it seems, it was all done to blackmail Halappa," Eshwarappa
