Congress worker shot dead at Amethi

Amethi, May 4: A Congress worker was killed by unidentified gunmen in Munishiganj area here, some 150km from Lucknow, police said on Tuesday, May 4.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Narendra Kumar Singh said the Rajjan Shukla was shot dead on late Monday, May 3, night, at the outskirts of Juhipur village when he was on his way home.

Singh said that Shukla died on the way to the hospital.

An investigation into the incident has been issued, he added.
