'Spy' Madhuri sent to 14-day judicial custody
New Delhi, May 1: Indian diplomat Madhuri Gupta, who has been held on espionage charges, has been sent to a 14-day judicial custody.
The Indian 'spy' was on Saturday, May 1 produced before Tis Hazari Court in Delhi. Rejecting police request of 2-day remand for Madhuri Gupta, the court sent her to the two-week judicial custody.
The 53-year-old Indian diplomat, who was posted as IFS- Group B officer in the Indian High Commission in Pakistan, was arrested on Apr 27.
She has been accused of violating The Official Secrets Act and passing on classified information to Pakistani intelligence agencies.
