Ex-Kennedy aid slams mini-series starring Katie Holmes
London, May 1 (ANI): A former presidential aid has blasted a new TV mini-series about America's famous Kennedy family, and alleges that the script is based on events that "never happened".
The upcoming drama show, which will debut on America's History Channel next year, will have actress Katie Holmes playing Jackie Kennedy, the wife of assassinated U.S. President John F. Kennedy, played by Greg Kinnear.
But so far the show has left experts and former employees of the Kennedy family fuming after they saw early versions of the screenplay, they insisted many key scenes are fictional.
"Every single conversation with the president in the Oval Office or elsewhere in which I, according to the script, participated, never happened," the Daily Express quoted Ted Sorensen, who was John F. Kennedy's special counsel and speechwriter in the White House, as saying.
Nigel Hamilton, author of JFK: Reckless Youth, added: "Frankly, it's a travesty. Why feed this kind of garbage on something called the History Channel?" (ANI)
