BJP-JMM leaders to continue talks over Jharkhand's future
New Delhi, May 1 (ANI): Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leaders and other allies called on Bharatiya Janata Party's President Nitin Gadkari on Saturday and it was decided that the talks will be further continued about the future of Jharkhand state.
On Saturday, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leaders met the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President, Nitin Gadkari, at his residence in the wake of political turmoil in Jharkhand state that erupted after the recent cut motion held in Parliament.
After the meeting, BJP's Ananth Kumar addressed the media and escribed the meeting as positive
He informed that party's Nitin Gadkari and Rajnath Singh met all allies from Jharkhand. Hemant Soren, Sudesh Mahto, Raghuvar Das and other leaders were present.
"We discussed the letter written by Soren. Talks have been positive and will continue. We will update the media on future developments. We discussed how our alliance has been running the government in Jharkhand and how we have kept the Congress away," said Kumar.
Till now, BJP leadership has kept on hold its decision of withdrawal of support to Shibu Soren-led government in the State. It is reportedly contemplating a BJP-led government in the State.
Soren's son, Hemant Soren, Jharkhand Deputy Chief Minister and BJP leader Raghubar Das, All Jharkhand Students Union chief Sudesh Mahato, state Janata Dal(United) leader Jaleshwar Mahato, former BJP president Rajnath Singh, party General Secretary Anant Kumar and General Secretary (organisation) Ramlal were present at the meeting at Gadkari's residence in a bid to end the political crisis in the state.
