Nithyananda scandal: CID hunting for Nitya Gopika

Bangalore, Apr 30: Amid the startling claims of sex scandal-tainted Swami Nithyananda that he is not a man, a new name has emerged in connection with the case.

The Karnataka Criminal Investigative Department (CID), which is probing into the ever-growing sex scandal involving the godman, is now on the look out for a certain Nitya Gopika.

Nitya Gopika, who is one of Nithyananda's close associates, has been absconding ever since the tape showing Swami Nithyananda's sexual romp with a Tamil actress hit the media in Mar 2010.

As per reports, Nithya Gopika travelled with Nithyananda to the US and also was the one who handled his personal belongings. She also was one among those who signed the 'sex contracts' and non-disclosure agreement.

It is suspected that Nitya Gopika conspired with Lenin Kuruppan to expose Nithyananda and his activites. She allegedly recorded Nithyananda's sleazy video as she felt insecure seeing the actress get close to the Swamiji.

Quoting sources, reports reveal that Nitya Gopika is an NRI with a doctorate from the US. She reportedly divorced her husband after coming to Nithyananda's ashram.

The CID sleuths are yet to ascertain Nitya Gopika's identity.
