HCL bags Melbourne IT IWS project
Noida, Apr 30: Melbourne IT has roped in HCL Technologies Ltd. (HCL), a leading global IT services provider, to sustain its $18 million Integrated Web Services (IWS) business transformation project.
Melbourne IT signed a deal with HCL on Friday, Apr 30 to suport its three-year project, which will enable Melbourne IT to enhance the value of the company"s customer base by allowing the business to sell customers the full suite of services across business units and geographies.

The IWS project is a mission critical part of accelerating the future growth of our organisation and we are confident that bringing HCL"s experience and expertise on board will help ensure the complete success of the project," Melbourne IT Chief Operating Officer, Damian Walsh, said.
With the help of the project Melbourne IT will be able to get a single view of the each customers globally. The stronger billing processes will help the customers to increase its revenue realisation.
And the enforcement of process consistency supprted by reducing the number of systems requiring IT support, customers can enjoy better productivity, efficiency and cost savings benefits.
Speaking about the deal, Virender Aggarwal, Executive Vice President for APAC & MEA, HCL Technologies said that the company is gearing up to serve the customers in the region.

As part of the IWS project, Melbourne IT and HCL Technologies will work in collaboration with with Oracle to implement a unified financial management system, which will help in ibusiness competitiveness across the company.
The IWS project has already begun and it is expected to be completed in 2012.
