Supreme Court gives more time to SIT to submit report on Godhra riots
New Delhi, Apr 28 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Wednesday gave more time to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to submit its report on the nine cases connected with the 2002 Godhra riots.
The apex court has given SIT 15 days to submit details of its probe.
The SIT had earlier sought more time from the court to submit its report on the riots.
Special Investigating Team (SIT) head R K Raghavan had earlier said he was reasonably confident about handing over the SIT report to the Supreme Court by the designated deadline of April 30.
The apex court had appointed SIT to re-investigate the nine cases in connection with the Godhra riots. (ANI)
