12 hurt as Emirates flight hit air-pocket over Goa

Kochi, Apr 25: Atleast 12 people were injured when a Kochi-bound Emirates flight from Dubai, hit an air-pocket above Goa on Sunday, Apr 25, morning, airport sources said.

The Boeing 777 aircraft landed safely in Kochi airport at around 9.00 am. Among the 12 injured passengers, one of them has been admitted to a hospital in nearby Angamaly.

The flight, carrying 361 passengers and 14 crew members experienced a sudden drop in altitude from 20,000 feet to 5,000 feet after it hit an air-pocket above Goa.
