Wipro nets 21 percent rise in profit in last quarter
Bangalore, Apr 23 (ANI): Wipro, third-largest software provider registered an increase of 21 percent profit in the last quarter of the financial year on Friday, as requirements for computer services sold by it escalated.
Wipro's net income rose to Rs 12.1 billion in the three months ending on March 31, from 10 billion rupees a year earlier.
"We had another strong growth with eight percent year on year growth in revenues and 21 percent year on year growth in profits. For the full year we grew six percent in revenue and 18 percent in net profit," said Wipro Chairman Azim Premji.
"We had another strong quarter following a strong performance in Q3 and IT (Information Technology) services grew near the top-end of our guidance at 4.7 percent on constant currency basis," he added. (ANI)
