Lok Sabha adjourned till noon over IPL controversy

New Delhi, Apr 23: The IPL controversy hit the Lok Sabha proceedings as it was adjourned till 12 pm due to the opposition's demand for a joint parlimentary investigation into the scandal.

Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee assured that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will be briefed about the sentiments if the

House and said that everything cannot be done in a hurry.

Opposition demanded an investigation into Praful Patel's links with the IPL controversy.

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Sushma Swaraj accused the Congress party of trying to protect the NCP leaders in order save the coalition.

Pressing for the probe, Janata Dal-United (JD-U) Chief Sharad Yadav said that two minister have already been named in the probe.
