Swami Nithyananda to be brought to Blore on Apr 22

Bangalore, Apr 22: Controversial godman, Swami Nithyananda, who was arrested on Wednesday, Apr 21 in a joint operation between Karnataka's Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and Himachal Pradesh police, will be brought to Bangalore on Thursday, Apr 22.

The Swamiji, whose sexcapades emerged following the leak of a sleazy video showing him in a compromising position with a Tamil actress called Ranjitha, will be presented before a local court for remand.

Nithyananda's one-month long run from the law ended when Karnataka CID team and Himachal police arrested him from a house in Solan district along with four others.

"Nityananda and his accomplice Nithya Bhaktananda alias Gopal Seelam Reddy will be brought to Bangalore Thursday and produced in the local court at Ramangara district, about 40 km from here," Karnataka Corps of Detectives (CoD) Director General of Police (DGP) DV Guruprasad informed.

Nityananda and Reddy were sent to four days' transit remand to Bangalore by court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (Shimla) Yashwant Singh Chogal on Wednesday, Apr 21 night.
