Aerial survey conducted in Orissa

Bhubaneshwar, Apr 22: In an attempt to avert repeat of Dantewada massacre, aerial survey is being conducted over forests before the launch of anti-Maoists by security forces in Orissa's Koraput and Malkangiri districts, which are close to Dantewada.

BSF's special director general RK Medhekar said that the aerial survey was being done in the district as there was possibility of the Maoists carrying out a similar attack in Malkangiri which is barely 40 kms from Dantewada.

According to police sources, Medhekar has recently visited sensitive areas in Malkangiri district where the Maoists were said to running a parallel administration.
