Zee board gives its nod to 9X acquisition
Mumbai, Apr 21: The board of directors of Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL) has reportedly given its nod to the company's plans to acquire Hindi entertainment channel 9X.
The plans of Zee Entertainment, which is India's top listed television broadcaster, to acquire 9X, a general entertainment channel owned by loss-making INX Media Pvt Ltd, hit the headlines earlier in Mar 2010.
As per reports, the Zee board will be meeting on Apr 29 to formulate terms of acquisition.
Bombay Stock Exchange on Tuesday, Apr 20 received a note from Zee on the recent developments.
