Maya accuses CBI of double standards
Lucknow, Apr 21: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati has lashed out at the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday, Apr 21, claiming that the disproportionate assets case against her was 'baseless, unfounded and illegal'.
"Obvious political motivations have led the CBI to adopt double standards in dealing with identical DA (disproportionate assets) cases against me and those against Mulayam Singh Yadav and Laloo Prasad Yadav," she said in a 230-page affidavit submitted by her in the Supreme Court.
