Digvijay to meet Sonia over his remarks on PC

New Delhi, Apr 21: Distancing itself from the remarks passed against Home Minister P Chidambaram, the AICC said that Singh should have confined his view within the party forum and should not have spoken otuside of it.

Congress General Secretary, Digvijay Singh is expected to explain his criticism on Home Minister P Chidambaram's approach on the Naxal issue to Congress President Sonia Gandhi soon.

Taking offence at Singh's public outburts against Chidambaram, AICC has chosen to disassociate itself from the Congress General Secretary.

According to party sources, Singh has not met Congress President after his return from United States on Monday, Apr 19.

It has been said that Singh will address the media on the opinion about the Naxal issue after his meeting with Sonia Gandhi.

Singh has criticised Chidambaram and his approach towards tackling the Maoists issue in his article which he had written for a newspaper.
