Nigerian man held for raping Australian in Goa
Panaji, Apr 20: A Nigerian man was arrested on Sunday, Apr 18 for allegedly raping an Australian at Goa"s Palolem beach, police said on Tuesday, Apr 20.
In her complaint at Canacona police station, the 28-year-old Australian alleged that Okaroafor had raped her on Saturday, Apr 17, night after spiking her drinks.
The duo met at a party at a resort in Canacona and spend the night together in Okaroafor home near the beach.
Superintendent of police, Allan D'Sa said that the woman had claimed that she had never agreed to sex with the accused.
A medical examination report of the woman is yet to be released.
The case is being investigated by Goa crime branch.
