Malaysian eatery owners against barring foreign workers
Kota Kinabalu (Malaysia), Apr 18(ANI): Malaysian coffee shop and restaurant owners are unhappy over a ruling that bars foreign workers from serving customers in the country from next month.
According to the West Coast Coffee Shop and Restaurant Owners' Association (WCCSROA), the ruling applies to all eateries, and foreigners will only be allowed to work in the kitchen.
Members of the association said they would be hard hit, as it would not be easy to find locals to replace the foreigners, New Strait Times reports.
Meanwhile, WCCSROA President Dr. Yong Chen Yun met Kota Kinabalu Resource Development Minister Dr. Yee Moh Chai to appeal against the ruling. (ANI)
