Pak: Twin blasts at food distribution camp kill 30

Peshawar, Apr 17: At least 30 poeple were killed and over 50 injured when twin blasts ripped through a food distribution camp set up by the World Food Programme for the people displaced by the offensive against the terrorists in northwest Pakistan.

The blasts which ocurred in a span of 10 minutes on Saturday, Apr 17 took place in the Kuccha Pakka area in the North West Frontier Province (NWFP).

While the first blast is suspected to have been triggered off by the a suicide bomber, the second bomb is believed to be a planted one.

However, there are no confirmation on the nature of the blasts.

The death toll is expected to rise.

An emergency has been declared in the hospitals. Security forces cordoned off the blast sites.

No group has taken responsibility for the attack. Taliban is suspected to be behind the blasts.
