Tharoor row: Oppn stall LS proceedings
New Delhi, Apr 17: The Lok Sabha was adjourned till noon after protests by Opposition MPs on Friday, Apr 17.
The Opposition members were demanding an explanation on the IPL controversy surrounding Minister of State for External Affairs Shashi Tharoor.
Congress leader PK Bansal assured Lok Sabha members that Tharoor would make a statement on the issue after Question Hour.
Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar too urged the MPs to calm down and allow Question Hour to proceed.
But angry Opposition MPs, led by the BJP, refused to relent.
