Srikrishna Committee begins consultation on 'T'
New Delhi, Apr 16: Srikrishna Committee on Friday, Apr 16, started its consultation process with political parties by hearing a delegation from Telangana Rashtriya Samiti (TRS) headed by its chief K Chandrasekhar Rao.
The Justice B N Srikrishna Committee, constituted for consultation on the situation in Andhra Pradesh, met the TRS delegation at Vigyan Bhawan on Friday, Apr 16.
TRS chief Rao was accompanied by party MP and actor Vijayshanti and party ideologue C Jaishankar.
The Srikrishna Committee heard the views of the ten-member delegation of TRS, which has been demanding a separate Telangana state.
Last week, TRS submitted four voluminous reports in support of their demand for separate Telangana
Over 60,000 representations from various political parties, civil society organisation and general public has been sent to the Committee.
The five-member committee will be in Hyderabad for two days, beginning from Apr 22, to hear the views of some political parties in this regard.
