Sonia asks Tharoor to defend himself in Parliament
New Delhi, Apr 16: Congress President Sonia Gandhi has asked Minister of State for External Affairs Shashi Tharoor to defend himself in the Parliament over IPL controversy.
According to party sources, a probe is on to ascertain Tharoor's involvement in the Kochi IPL.
Sources said that Sonia Gandhi has asked top ministers to handle the probe.
A final decision on Tharoor will be taken only when the PM returns to India.
BJP, Left have asked the Lok Sabha Speaker to suspend Question Hour to discuss Tharoor.
