Sania answers all questions with one statement
Hyderabad, Apr 16: In her first interview after the much-debated marriage to Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik, Sania Mirza answered all questions, that were raised against her, with one single statement- "I was not marrying a Pakistani, I was marrying a person."
"People try to make political statements but forget that we are human beings," she added in the interview with a leading TV news channel on Friday, Apr 16.
Ever since the cricketer and the Indian tennis ace announced their marriage plans, there have been several questions on Sania Mirza's commitment to the country from particular sections of the society.
The Hyderabad girl's statement, however, made it clear that she married Shoaib Malik as she loved him as a human being and his nationality was irrelevant.
To the question as to which side would she be on during a Indo-Pak cricket match, the tennis star cleverly said, “I will support India and want him to make a century."
