Osama bin Laden joins Facebook
London, Apr 16: Al Qaeda Chief Osama bin Laden has joined Facebook under the address 'mountains of the world', The Sun reported on Friday, Apr 16.
According to the report, Bin Laden is using the social networking site to show videos and speeches to Islamic militants, which has eventually trigerred panic among the security experts.
Security experts has reportedly urged Facebook's US owners to shut down the profile page, which goes under the name 'The leader of the Mujahideen, Osama bin Laden'.
"Bin Laden, via his supporters, is clearly taunting his pursuers," internet terror expert Neil Doyle was quoted as saying.
According to an investigation conducted by the newspaper, the page had attracted nearly 1,000 people but the page became less active after Feb 2010.
While the language was initially Arabic, messages in English too have begun to appear on the page.
