Infosys Australia posts solid year
Sydney, Apr 15(ANI): Infosys Australia has ended the financial year on a high note with 150.4 million dollars in revenue, for the year ending March 31, up 31.39 million dollars over 2009.
However, there was dip of 160,000 dollars in net profit this year due to higher operating expenses.
Infosys Australia Chief Jackie Korhonen said the figures show revenue increased by 24.8 percent in 2010, compared with 22.3 percent the previous financial year.
She also attributed the strong performance to solid wins in the telecommunications and finance sectors.
Results in the fourth quarter show that the company had an increase in revenues by 12.89 million dollars.
For the three months ending March 31, Infosys recorded 40.89 million dollars in revenue compared with 28 million dollars in the same period last year, but net profit was down 2.21 million dollars from 2.89 million dollars, The Australian reports.
Earlier in the day, Infosys landed a three-year agreement to manage Microsoft's internal IT services.
The global deal includes IT help desk, desk side services, and IT infrastructure and applications support.
It will also manage Microsoft's internal IT services for applications, devices, and databases in 450 locations across 104 countries, including Australia. (ANI)
