Dr. Manmohan Singh accorder rousing welcome at Brazil
Brasilia ( Brazil) April 15 (ANI): In his second leg of tour to USA and Brasil Dr. Manmohan Singh, the prime Minister of India who arrived here at the Brasilia Airbase on Wednesday was accorded a rousing welcome. Dr. Singh was here to attend for the fourth India-Brazil-South Africa (IBSA) and the Brazil, Russia, India, China (BRIC) summits to be held on April 15 and April 16 respectively.
Dr. Singh was received by Nelson Jobin the defense minister of Brazil.
The 4yj IBSA summit is being held on April 15 in the Brasil capitol Brasilia. Including Dr. Manmoghan Singh the Brasil Presidnet Lua De Silva, Jacpob Zuma of South Afraica are participating in the summit.
IBSA IS A UNIQUE Forum which brings together India, Brazil and South Africa, three large democracies from three continents, facing common challenges. All three countries are developing nations, plural, multu cultural, multi ethinic, multi lingual and multi religious.
After attending the IBSA Dr. Singh would be attending BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India and China) on April 16 at Brasilia. Brasiil is hosting the second formal BRIC summit on April 16.
The BRIC grouping represents four major economicies. BRIC countries are richly endowed collectively in terms of natural resources and other factors of production, and are today in a position to sustain higher growth rates. BRIC countries together commond 25.9 pecent of World4s geographic area, 40 percent of global population and 22 percent of global |GDP (PPP).
