Saudi Arabia wants closer ties with India, says Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz
New Delhi, April 14 (ANI): Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia on Wednesday said Saudi Arabia wants to develop closer relations with India in all fields , particularly in the field of science and technology.
He further said that India and Saudi Arabia share a historic relationship and there is a need to deepen educational ties between both the countries.
Addressing the university students after accepting the doctorate, Prince Salman said: "We want the development of bilateral relations between India and Saudi Arabia in all fields, in all areas and in all aspects. The scientific relations between India and Saudi Arabia are at the top of the agenda of the bilateral relations between the two countries."
Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia was conferred an honorary degree of Doctor of Letters by the Jamia Millia Islamia here on Wednesday.
The Prince arrived in New Delhi on Sunday (April 11) on a four-day state visit.
Relations between the two countries got a boost , following the recent visit of Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh to the kingdom.(ANI)
