Rivals outpace Palin on fund-raising front
Washington, Apr.14 (ANI): Republican rivals of former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin have reportedly outpaced her in terms of fund collection.
According to Politico, while the Sarah Palin Political Action Committee (SarahPAC) raised 400,000 dollars in the first three months of 2010, other potential 2012 GOP rivals successfully raised much more.
Palin was outpaced by Minnesota GOP Governor Tim Pawlenty's 566,000 dollars in the first quarter, as well as former Massachusetts GOP Gov. Mitt Romney, who hauled 1.45 million dollars in the first three months.
The rest of the prospective Republican presidential candidates have yet to file their reports, and some do not have to file until the end of June.
Unlike Pawlenty and Romney, Palin has done very little to add to her campaign fund. Instead, she has focused on giving paid speeches and working out television deals with Fox News and the Discovery Channel, as well as stumping for candidates she supports. (ANI)
