Pak insists it fully qualifies for equal participation in civil nuclear cooperation
Islamabad, Apr.11 (ANI): Pakistan has once again insisted that it fully qualifies for equal participation in civil nuclear cooperation at the international level, as its nuclear establishments are full secured by highly trained manpower.
Speaking during a regular press briefing, Foreign Office spokesman Abdul Basit said Pakistan needed access to civilian nuclear technology on a non-discriminatory basis.
"Pakistan believes all countries should have the right to access nuclear technology for peaceful purposes," The Daily Times quoted Basit, as saying.
Basit said that Pakistan is reeling under severe energy crisis and the problem can only be resolved nuclear power generation.
Responding to questions regarding any future talks between India and Pakistan, he said it depends on New Delhi's response to the proposal and roadmap which were submitted during the Foreign Secretary-level talks on February 25. (ANI)
