Man throws acid on wife for refusing sex

Kuantan city Deputy Police Chief Zulkifli Taha said that the victim's husband, a rubber plantation owner, splashed acid on his wife in fit of anger when she refused to have sex with him early on Wednesday, Apr 7, after he returned from a gambling session.
"He went into the bedroom and woke up his wife as he wanted to have sex, but she refused as she was feeling unwell and was having a headache," said Zulkifli.
"The man became angry and took a pail of formic acid from outside the house and splashed it on his wife's face and body," he said.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital by the couple's teenage children, who alerted an aunt about the incident.
Her condition is said to be stable. She has suffered serious injuries in the acid attack.
Reports said that shortly after the incident, the accused surrendered himself at a nearby police station.
