Two more road accidents near Pune kill 8

Pune, Apr 7: Just days after a highway accident claimed 10 lives, two more road accidents have been reported near Pune in which eight people were killed and 12 injured.

In one incident, a car rammed into a truck near Yavat on Pune-Solapur highway. Four people died on the spot and eight were injured.

The victims were travelling in the car and were reportedly on their way to Tuljapur when the accident took place on Tuesday, Apr 6 night.

In the second mishap, another car crashed into a truck at Wakad near Pune on Mumbai-Bangalore highway. Four people were killed and four others injured in the incident.

This comes after the Sunday, Apr 4 accident on Pune-Mumbai-Bangalore highway, where a jeep collided into a container. 10 people were killed and seven were injured in the incident.
