Rathore's bail hearing adjourned till Jul 19

Chandigarh, Apr 5: Punjab and Haryana court on Monday, Apr 5, adjourned the bail plea hearing of former DGP SPS Rathore till Jul 19.

The court was hearing the Rathore's bail plea in connection with new cases registered by Haryana government against him. The CBI is now investigating these cases.

In 2009, Rathore was convicted of molesting teenager Ruchika Girhotra by a special CBI court.

The former DGP had molested 14-year-old Ruchika in Aug 1990.

Ruchika committed suicide three years later in Dec 1993, after months of harassment by Rathore and his accomplices.
