US group that sent ominous letters to 50 governors says ideology inspired by Gandhi
Washington, Apr. 4 (ANI): An anti-taxation American group, which recently asked all 50 US governors to leave office within three days or they would be removed, is now claiming that its non-violent ideology is inspired by Martin Luther King, Jr. and Mahatma Gandhi.
The ominous letters sent by Guardians of the free Republics, which didn't specify how exactly were they planning to remove the governors, prompted the FBI to warn that the letters could incite violence.
However, the group insists that it has a peaceful modus operandi.
"We would simply like to urge patriots everywhere to champion their faith instead of force, and allow The Restore America Plan an uneventful 30 to 60 days for visible implementation which will ultimately end the bogus prosecutions and terrorist activities once and for all," wrote Sam Kennedy, a member of the organization.
The Guardians are believed to be part of a "sovereign citizen" movement that is anti-capitalist, against taxation and demanding the abolishment of the Federal Reserve Bank, the pepper says.
The group's ultimate goal is to "restore America" to a government which is unable to tax its citizens. (ANI)
