Moscow blasts: Bomber wife of slain Islamic rebel
Moscow, Apr 3: One of the suicide bombers of the Moscow twin blasts was the 17-year-old widow of a slain Islamist militant from the North Caucasus, a leading Russian newspaper reported.
On Friday, Apr 2, Kommersant published the photograph of the bomber, identified as Dzhennet Abdurakhmanova from Dagestan, dressed in a black Muslim headscarf and with a pistol in hand.
The photograph showed Abdurakhmanova with her husband, Umalat Magomedov, an Islamist militant leader who was killed in an encounter by the government forces in Dec. Her husband was seen with a pistol in his hand.
In the report the second suicide bomber has been identified as 20-year-old woman from Chechnya.
However, the report is yet to be confirmed by the Russian officials.
Atleast 38 people were killed and around 65 injured in the twin blasts at Moscow subway on Monday, Mar 29.
