Islamabad, Apr 2 (ANI): Non-cooperative attitude of Pakistan's Law Minister Babar Awan has resulted in resignation of Attorney General Anwar Mansoor Khan from his post.

Khan pointed out that since he assumed the office of Attorney General, the Law Minister and Law Ministry did not cooperate with him and that he apprised President Asif Ali Zardari of this issue but the latter could not address his concerns.

Khan blamed Law Minister Babar Awan and his ministry for the snag behind attempts in completing legal procedures for sending letters to Swiss authorities for reopening of cases involving President Asif Ali Zardari, The News reports.

He was of the view that Law Ministry was not providing him the relevant documents, which he needed for the pursuance of the cases.

"I have been insisting since day one that letters must be written to Swiss authorities for reopening of money laundering cases," Khan said.

Outgoing AG Mansoor told media men that non-compliance of Supreme Court's verdict aginst NRO was creating crisis. (ANI)
