Iran continues to build nuclear weapons: CIA
Washington, Apr 1: Iran is still continuing to build nuclear weapons despite international resistance, a new report by the Central Intelligence Agency has said.
The report by CIA is the latest official study expressing concern over Iran's continuing nuclear activities.
The CIA report said, "Iran continues to develop a range of capabilities that could be applied to producing nuclear weapons, if a decision is made to do so."
The report further said, "Iran continued to expand its nuclear infrastructure despite multiple UN Security Council Resolutions since late 2006 calling for the suspension of those activities."
Meanwhile, President Barack Obama has asserted that he wants the new sanctions against Iran to be placed within weeks and not in months.
