MP: Girl killed by neighbor over water dispute
Indore, Mar 31: An altercation over water turned fatal for a teenager as she was allegedly killed by neighbor at Bakshibagh area in the city, on Wednesday, Mar 31.
According to police, 18-year-old Poonam Yadav was attacked with a knife by Hukum Gaur when she was standing outside her house.
She was taken to a hospital where she succumed to injuries, they added.
Police said that preliminary investigation revealed that women of both the families had earlier exchanged heated arguments for four days after the victim's family asked Gaur's family to stop drawing water from their tap in the wake of water scarcity in the city.
Police said that they are making efforts to track down the accussed, who has been absconding after the incident.
