Pakistani troops kill 28 militants in northwest
Peshawar, Mar 30: At least 28 militants were killed and 10 others were injured when Pakistani fighter jets pounded terrorist hideouts in the country's northwest, official sources said.
According to official sources, twenty militants were killed when fighter jets bombed a terror base set up in a state-run school and dispensary in Arganjo area of Orakzai tribal agency.
Sources said that another eight militants were killed and three hideouts destroyed when jets bombarded the Anjani area of Orakzai.
Pakistani troops backed by artillery, helicopter gunships and jets launched a fresh campaign against pro-Taliban militants in Orakzai tribal agency about a week ago.
The military claims that over 150 militants have been killed in the offensive, sources added.
