British woman conceives post-menopause

London, Mar 29: In an case of medical miracle, 30-year- old woman who had menopause at age 21 was reported pregnant even after IVF (In Vitro Fertilisation) were almost zero.

"My choice to have more children had been ripped out of me," Cassie Chapple was quoted in a media report as saying.

30-year-old Chapple, who is from Woking, Surrey,found that she was pregnant when she underwent a special hormone test on Oct 2009 to check if IVF was an option.

The news came as a surprise especially as her reports revealed that she would require an egg donor to conceive.

"I'm so lucky. Miracles do happen. This baby really is a godsend," she said.
