6 killed, 40 injured in UP bus accident

Muzaffarnagar, Mar 29: At least six people have been killed and 40 others injured when a truck overturned on a bus on the Delhi-Dehra Dun national highway here on Monday, Mar 29.

According to police, the truck, heavily loaded with concrete, fell over the Uttar Pradesh state transport bus near Bhagella village in the district.

Police said that the bus was travelling from Delhi to Rishikesh and most of the passengers were pilgrims going to Haridwar for the ongoing Maha Kumbh.

The injured have been rushed to different hospitals. Two of the deceased have been identified as Ramjit Verma and Prem Singh, both from Delhi.
