India's food inflation eases to 16.22 pc
New Delhi, Mar 25: India's food inflation eased marginally to 16.22 pc for the week ended Mar 13.
Food inflation was at 16.30 per cent in the previous week.
According to government data, prices of certain items such as pulses and vegetables continued to rise.
Moong and pork became dearer by 5 pc each, urad price shot up by 4 pc, vegetables by 2.63 pc and coffee by 2 pc during the week.
However, masoor prices slipped 4 pc and there was a fall of 1 pc each in the prices for eggs, bajra, maize, condiments and spices.
The fuel group inflation for week ended Mar 13 unchanged at 12.68 per cent.
