Didi presses rail team to Kolkata fire rescue opns

Kolkata, Mar 23: Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee rushed to Park Street to personally access the situation and how the personnel were handling the raging fire which broke out on Tuesday, Mar 23.

The Union Railway Minister also pressed disaster management team of the Railways to action to assist the rescue operation at the mishap site.

“I have asked the railway disaster management team from Howrah and Sealdah to come and assist the trapped people," Ms. Banerjee said.

She expressed anguish that the even after hours of the fire breaking out, the situation has not been brought under control.
