Kerala: Bus plunges into river, causalities feared
Kottayam, Mar 23: A private bus carrying over 40 people, including students, plunged into the Meenachil river near Kottayam on Tuesday, Mar 23.
According to reports, at least three people have been feared dead and about 15 persons were admitted to hospitals with injuries.
According to eyewitnesses, the bus was crowded with more than 40 passengers and most of them were students who had boarded it from the tourist destination of Kumarakom.
Local people, in large numbers, jumped into the river to save the passengers.
