16pc hike in salary scales of IIM-I students

Indore, Mar 23: The students of Indian Institute of Management (IIM) have something to cheer about. The average annual salary package for the IIM students have increased roughly by 16 percent.

According to sources in the IIM-I, all the 175 students in the 2010 batch have received an annual salary package of Rs 10.29 lakh.

Sources said that multi-national investment bank offers a maximum package of Rs 28 lakh to a student for posting in India.

33 percent of the companies which had offered jobs to students, who would be graduating in 2011 have come to IIM-Indore for the first time.

The 11th convocation for the IIM-Indore is scheduled on Mar 29 and the chief guest for the occassion would be the Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Marico Limited, Harsh Mariwala.
