SCL appoints Dr Venu as additional director
Mumbai, Mar 22: Dr Lakshmi Venu, daughter of Shri Venu Srinivasan, Managing Director of SCl and Chairman of TVS Motor Company Limited (TVSM) has been appointed as an Additional Director of Sundaram-Clayton Limited (SCl) on Monday, Mar 22.
In its Board meeting held in Chennai, the company arrived at the decision to induct Dr Lakshmi Venu, as Director-Strategy for a period of five years.
DR Venu, a Yale University graduate was earlier assigned to work in TVSM, a subsidiary of SCl, where she was consistent to extensive in-depth induction. She has been working in the areas of Business Strategy, Corporate Affairs, Product Design and Sales & Marketing.
She holds a doctorate in Engineering Management from the University of Warwick and has undergone three years initial training as a Management Trainee in Sundaram Auto Components Limited, a subsidiary of SCl, beginning from 2003.
Her academic and corporate achievement is believed to be an asset to the Company and is expected to bring long term benefit to the subsidiaries.
