8.5 pc growth in 2010-11, asserts Pranab Mukherjee
Bangalore, Mar 22: Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a workshop here, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee held on to the predicted 7.2 percent economic growth for the 2009-2010 fiscal and 8.5 percent for 2010-11 fiscal.
"I have given some indication in the budget speech and the economic survey. So far as this year is concerned, we are sticking to 7.2 percent GDP (Gross Domestic Product) growth and 8.5 percent for 2010-11," Mr Mukherjee said on Monday, Mar 22.
The minister made this statement at a workshop organised by the Reserve Bank of India and the international Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development.
