Scuffle breaks out in Raj Assembly, 2 MLAs hurt

Jaipur, Mar 19: In yet another shameful display of unruly behavior by our country's legislators, two MLAs were hurt in a scuffle that broke out in the Rajasthan Assembly on Friday, Mar 19 amid high drama over the suspension of a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) members.

The commotion began when members protesting the suspension of two BJP MLAs refused to give up the dharna and vacate the well.

On noticing that the suspended BJP whip RS Rathore was present in the house, the speaker called in marshals to evict him. While jostling with the marshals, party MLA Bahadur Singh Koli received an injury to his finger and leg while Gulab Chand Kataria complained of chest pain.

The house was adjourned for the day.

Rathore was suspended for a year along with MLA Hanuman Beliwal, who was suspended till the end of the current session, for unruly behaviour.
