Raj under attack for referring to CST as VT
Mumbai, Mar 19: The tables have turned as Raj Thackeray, the man who has made many apologise for saying 'Bombay' instead of 'Mumbai' is now at the receiving end for referring to Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) as VT (Victoria Terminus).
"At a recent function here, Raj repeatedly called CST as VT. He has no right to preach others," former minister Nawab Malik said.
While adrressing a gathering, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sene (MNS) chief was reminiscing over his college days when he used to travel by the Harbour line to CST.
Even though the station was rechristened Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus in 1996, the abbreviation VT is still widely used.
However, the usage of VT by 'Marathi manoos' crusader and the follower of Shivaji has led many to question his conviction in his own ideology.
